Online Backup Services enable you to backup critical information from your computers located at your site via a
secure connection to your network, online backups are conducted automatically and without human intervention,
safely transferring and storing data to a secure data vault within our data centers.
Before transfer, backup data is encrypted and remains so until it is restored to the client server, facilitating compliance with regulations governing electronic storage and access to confidential data.
You can choose to keep backup data for either a 1-year or 30-day retention period, and alternate retention periods
can be arranged.
Our Online Backup Service is based upon a distributed architecture with three primary components:
Director, Agents and CentralControl .....
Changes are compressed, encrypted, and pushed to the Director. The Director is the intelligence engine behind the technical solution that monitors backups and restores. It is also responsible for processing, cataloging and storing the encrypted data blocks. The Agents are installed on each computer and track block level changes, including new files.
CentralControl management console provides end-users & administrators a unified view of backup & recovery operations.

Application agents extend the capabilities of our Online Backup Service. They provide a fast, secure and reliable method of backing up individual files and folders or entire volumes of data within applications. The standard Agent is capable of capturing any user file or database without system interruption.

The Backup Agent allows a user to perform a full or partial backup. The backup may be to another Vault, or a disk or tape device, or a Tape Library.
The Agent provides a “snapshot” picture of the vault at the time of backup. This can be used as an historical picture of the data at that time. A restore of the vault backup would reflect the data at that time. Any changes to the original vault data will not be “seen” until the next vault backup.
