RMM Architecture Components

 

Device

     - Logical or physical target device including a network, server, or other device that is being monitored or managed     ( could include URLs as well )

VPN connection

     - Secure link over the internet that is used to route the traffic from the end-customer site to one of our Data Centers

CAM Platform

     - Fusion of proprietary-developed and third party applications, tightly integrated with operational best practices. This includes the following:

CAM Poller

     - Appliance configured with a stripped down version of Debian Linux. It is typically placed in a hosted model in a data center site in DC. It is configured to poll and to receive traps and messages from monitored devices. It’s health is automatically monitored to ensure it is providing good information.

 

Access Platform

     - Appliance to provide remote access to the data center engineers to the target devices being managed.
SNMP / WMI / MOM on devices to be monitored
